Join BUNAC for their first ever Work Canada Ultimate Job Fair!

It’s no surprise that Canada was voted as Lonely Planet’s destination of the year with its gorgeous landscapes and captivating culture.

This year, the beautiful country is set to be a favourite gap year destination for the Class of 2017 and there are plenty of reasons why. Canada has no shortage of awe-inspiring landscapes; with mountains, glaciers, rainforests, beaches, combined with a vibrant and dynamic culture, Canada will undoubtedly delight each and every visitor.

BUNAC have been organising work placements in Canada for over 25 years; this means that they have long-standing relationships with the top Canadian resorts and seasonal employers.  You can explore their huge range of seasonal employment opportunities where you can find employment in a chalet, bar, as a hotel receptionist or even as a snowboarding instructor.

If you’re planning a gap year in Canada, you’ll need an IEC work permit. The permit allows eligible British passport holders between the ages of 18 and 30 to work and live in Canada for a total of 24 months, giving you plenty of time to explore everything that Canada has to offer!

BUNAC are hosting their first ever Work Canada Ultimate Job Fair on the 11th and 12th of August. Representatives from Canada’s top ski resorts are travelling to London to hire suitable candidates so, if you’re looking to apply or already have a work permit, make sure that you attend this event so that you can get a head start in securing employment for the upcoming winter season.

Emma Beynon, a spokesperson from BUNAC stated, “Canada is currently our fastest-growing destination and we’re delighted to see so many young people choosing it for their working holiday.  Students who are currently bogged down with exam revision and haven’t found the time to look for gap year jobs abroad needn’t panic. There are still Canadian IEC visas available for UK and Irish citizens and anyone who signs up to our Work Canada Ultimate programme receives an exclusive invitation to the Job Fair in August, and the opportunity to pre-book interviews with two employers of their choice.”

If Canada is your dream gap year destination, you can opt for the Work Canada Ultimate programme, which costs just £499. This includes a pre-arranged job before you travel, two nights’ accommodation on arrival, subsidised living arrangements whilst working, social activities, discounted ski passes and much more.

BUNAC participants will get access to a Facebook group where they can meet and talk to like-minded travellers, they also offer the opportunity to join a Group Flight to Canada which costs from £720 to Toronto and £745 to Vancouver. These flights include an exciting three-day layover in Iceland, meaning you get a chance to explore Iceland as well as making new friends before you even start your Canadian working holiday.
